On March 28, Yasuo FUKUDA, Former Prime Minister of Japan pointed out that ASEAN countries will act as a crucial part in the development of Asia Pacific regions at the session “Moving Towards the East Asian Economic Community”.

 

Due to the position of ASEAN, FUKUDA foresee that ASEAN would act as the centre part of the collaboration of East Asia and the Pacific Region as the role of stabilizing and enhance the benefit of the regions. 

 

FUKUDA also suggested that China, Japan and Korea should develop further trust and integration by the end of 2015.
