Jagdish Singh KHEHAR, the Judge of Supreme Court of India mentioned that India has implemented a green law court as a separate judiciary system to control the environmental issues at the session “BRICS Chief Justices’ Dialogue Pollution Control: the Power of Judiciary”.
KHEHAR mentioned that through the recommendation of the legislation system in 2010, India has set up a national green tribunal, which is only functioned on environmental-related cases that happened in India. KHEHAR also mentioned that the court has taken more than 8,000 cases since it began operations.
