At the TV Debate Session Four on March 29th – Connecting Asia: Dialogue with Thinkers, Lin Yifu (Professor and Honorary Dean, National School of Development, Peking University and Vice Chairman of there All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce) believed that US should welcome the establishment of Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank if it is committed to shared prosperity and poverty reduction in Asia and other developing countries.
Lin stressed that there is a huge demand for infrastructure in Asia, thus Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) should be welcomed as it can help achieve this goal. In addition, the rise of China and other emerging economies can contribute to regional and global prosperity and stability.
