In the Roundtable Session 2 on March 27, ASEAN- China Governors/ Mayors’ Dialogue” - Local Cooperation: Community of Common destiny, Liu Cigui, Governor of Hainan Province), provided the following 5 suggestions on boosting the cooperation between the local governments in China and ASEAN countries.

1. Improve the connectivity and coordination of infrastructure projects incl. air and marine transportations

2. Push maritime cooperation and support the expansion of mutual investment and bilateral trade

3. Protect the marine environment

4. Cooperate in the maritime emergency response system

5. Enlarge the cooperation and exchange of talents, especially in the areas of education, technology, sports, religion and media
