March 27, 2015, at the Boao Forum breakfast meeting 2, WANG Guoqiang, Vice-Minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission of PRC, analyzed both opportunities and challenges of globalizing Chinese Traditional Medicine (CTM). He then proposed six new strategies as follows:
1) Develop at home before going abroad,
2) Spread Chinese culture before introducing medical theory,
3) Popularize Chinese traditional medicine before therapies,
4) Spread CTM from demonstration areas to the whole world,
5) Introduce other therapies on the base of acupuncture-moxibustion therapy,
6) Enhance official cooperation with the help of overseas Chinese doctors.
