In the Dialogue 2 “A Conversation with ZHU Min: China & the World” on Mar 27, ZHU Min, Vice President of IMF, stated that the establishment of the AIIB is in good timing. As the economic growth continues to decline, China's economy has not yet fully recovered from the financial crisis in 2008. At the same time, Asia needs a strategy that can facilitate and support the investment of the basic infrastructural projects throughout the region. The demand of basic infrastructure will continue to rise in the short run. In the long run, the setup of AIIB will continue to bring great benefits to the world’s economic growth.
