Dr. Zhou Xiaochuan was born in 1948. In March 2013, he was elected Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and his tenure as the Governor of the People’s Bank of China, Chairman of Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) was extended.
