HUANG Qifan

 

Mayor, Chongqing Municipal People’s Government

 

Huang Qifan, born in May 1952, is a male ethnic Han from Zhuji, Zhejiang Province. He is a professor with the degree of MBA. Starting to work in September 1968, he served as Deputy Director and Engineer of Shanghai Coking Factory; Director of Shanghai Economy and Information Center; Deputy Director of Shanghai Pudong New Area Administration Commission; Deputy Secretary General of CPC Shanghai Committee and Director of Policy Research Office of CPC Shanghai Committee; Deputy Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Government; Director of Shanghai Economy Commission. From October, 2001, he successively assumed the office of Deputy Mayor, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Chongqing Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Chongqing. From 2010, he has been the Mayor of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and Deputy Secretary of CPC Chongqing Committee.
