On 1 June 2011, after 8 years on the Global Executive, Steve was elected Chairman of the Global Board, Deloitte’s highest level governance forum. His previous global roles as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Clients and Global Managing Partner, Audit have provided Steve with a deep understanding of the needs and expectations of our strategically important clients and what it takes to deliver a tailored, highly responsive and consistently high quality client service. He has been a member of the Deloitte UK Executive Committee for 13 years and was a member of the board of partners for nearly 15 years. His current UK role as Managing Partner, International Markets recognises the vital importance of international business to the success of Deloitte in the UK, its clients and other key stakeholders.

Steve has over 30 years audit experience primarily in the Financial Services Sector. His experience outside Deloitte includes a two year secondment to the Bank of England and 18 months as Group Head of the Financial Division of J P Morgan Securities in London.
