Mr. Hongyi Zhou is the Chairman and CEO of Qihoo 360 Technology Co. Ltd., a leading Internet company in China. He co-founded the company in 2005 and introduced the groundbreaking “Free Internet Security” business model in 2006 that completely changed the traditional security software market. Since then, Qihoo 360’s market leading Internet security solutions have attracted over 400 million active Chinese Internet users and cover over 90% of Chinese Internet population. Under Mr. Zhou’s leadership, Qihoo 360 have already become the indisputable leader in PC and Mobile Internet security market in China. Mr. Zhou is also a pioneer in advocating Internet open platform in China. Under his leadership, building upon massive user base, Qihoo 360 launched a safe and friendly open platform to offer variety of third-party Internet services to Chinese Internet users through key Internet access points such as web browser and app store. Through this platform, Qihoo 360 also forms strong partnerships with key players in different Internet verticals to build a truly open win-win online ecosystem in China. These efforts have made Qihoo 360 one of the leading Internet companies in China. With his strong leadership, innovative thinking, dedication to user satisfaction, Mr. Hongyi Zhou led the company to a successful IPO at the NYSE on March 30, 2011. Mr. Zhou was a well know Internet entrepreneur in China even before he co-founded Qihoo 360. His first Internet venture was 3721.com, a company that he founded in 1998 with an aim to help Chinese users access Internet in their native language rather than in English. In five years, 3721.com had developed itself into a leading Internet search engine and online marketing company with the largest market share in China. In 2003, 3721.com was acquired by Yahoo! for $120 million, and Mr. Zhou subsequently joined Yahoo! China as its CEO. After leaving Yahoo! China in 2004, Mr. Zhou became .an active venture investor focusing on Internet startups. Prior to co-founding Qihoo 360, Mr. Zhou served as a Venture Partner at IDG in 2005. Graduated from the School of Management at Xi’an Jiaotong University, Mr. Zhou received his Master degree of Science in System Engineering in 1995.
