Alwyn Didar SINGH

Dr. Alwyn Didar Singh, Secretary General of FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) is a former Secretary to Government of India (Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs). He is also Secretary General of ICC (International Chamber of Commerce), India Chapter; Director General, Indian Council of Arbitration and Director on Boards of several companies. Dr Didar Singh is former Member of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Agenda Council on Migration (2011-14) and has been conferred an Award for his service to the Indian Diaspora by GOPIO International (Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin). He has worked as a strategy consultant with several international organizations, including International Trade Centre; UNCTAD; World Health Organization; ILO; South Centre, Geneva and the Commonwealth Secretariat, London. Dr. Singh has Masters Degrees from Delhi University; and from Birmingham University, UK (where he was recently awarded an Hony Doctorate also). Besides having done the first PhD in India on the Policy and Administration of e-Commerce, Dr. Singh has several publications including four books to his credit in the areas of e-Commerce, e-Trade and Migration.
