Bernd RECKMANN

Bernd Reckmann, born on December 31, 1955 in Bottrop, Germany, has been a member of the Executive Board of Merck since January 2007 and is responsible for the Performance Materials and Merck Millipore divisions. Bernd Reckmann studied biochemistry from 1976 to 1984 at Leibniz University in Hannover and graduated with a doctorate. Before joining the Executive Board, as of 2005 Bernd Reckmann was responsible for the Merck businesses in South Korea. Prior to that, he was Head of Strategic Innovation as of 2004 and Head of the Life Science Products division as of 1998. From 1993 to 1998 he worked in Marketing & Sales within the Laboratory and Diagnostics business. He began his career at Merck in 1986 in the Diagnostics research unit.
