Ida Bagus Made Bimantara or Sade, born in the island of Bali, is a career diplomat. He is currently based in Jakarta as the Deputy Director for East Asia and the Pacific. His portfolio includes advancing Indonesia’s relationship with Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu. Prior to that, he served in Indonesia’s mission in Canberra as the Embassy’s spokesperson and Counsellor for Political Affairs. He was an Assistant to the Special Staff for International Affairs of the President of Indonesia (2010-2014). Sade is a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s in his focus of interests: economics, money and finance and communications.
