From bottom to top -- this sums up the long journalistic career of Azman Ujang, the Chairman of Bernama, Malaysia's National News Agency. He joined Bernama as a cadet reporter and rose through the ranks to become Editor-in-Chief in 2004. In 2007, he was appointed its general manager or CEO before his retirement one and a half years later. In 2016, he was appointed Chairman which makes the first person to have held all the three top posts of Chairman, General Manager and Editor-In-Chief.
