Dr. Liu Roupeng is the Founder of Kuang-chi Group, President of Shenzhen Kuang-Chi Institute of Advanced Technology, Chairman of Kuang-Chi Science Limited (00439.HK), Chairman of Kuang-Chi Technology Co., Ltd. (002625.SZ), graduated from Duke University with a Ph.D. Dr. Liu Ruopeng developed the most advanced metamaterial system during his Ph.D. His paper on the experimental implementation of the wide-band invisibility cloak published in the world's leading academic journal, Science, caused a sensation. In 2010, he returned to China and founded Kuang-Chi. Dr. Liu Ruopeng plays a key and leading role in leading the development of metamaterial innovation technology, promoting the establishment of the metamaterial industry, and exploring innovative models of new scientific research institutions. In December 2012, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to Shenzhen to inspect the technical innovation of Kuang-Chi, which was the first research trip of General Secretary Xi Jinping after the 18th National Congress. In 2014, he was awarded of the Top Honor for Young Chinese People, and won the First prize of Shenzhen Science and Technology Progress in 2018.
