Ms Han Yonghong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Masters in Chinese Studies. After graduation, she joined Lianhe Zaobao as a journalist in 2000, covering theatre, music and visual arts as well as serving as a member of the Singapore Cultural Award Selection Committee. In 2005, she was appointed Correspondent for the Beijing Bureau for Lianhe Zaobao, providing extensive news coverage into Chinese society, politics, foreign affairs and major events. In 2011, the veteran journalist received the Business China Young Achiever Award, thereafter returning to Singapore in 2012 to manage editorial duties covering the Greater China region. She has also taught contemporary Chinese society and politics at the Nanyang Polytechnic University in Singapore. Her writings in China is collected in book “Hello China” ,published in 2018.
