Mr. Xie is the Chairman of SHCH. Prior to this, Mr. Xie has taken a number of important positions, including the Deputy Director-General of the Payment and Settlement Department of PBC, the Vice Mayor of Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, the General Manager of SHCH, and the Director-General of the Payment and Settlement Department of PBC. Mr. Xie has been committed to the establishment of China’s payment system for years, participating and organizing the analysis and formulation of policies and rules related to payment and settlement. He has actively promoted the technological innovation as well as risk prevention of China’s non-banking payment institutions. He is heavily engaged in the establishment and operation of financial infrastructures in China, including the CCP and CSD, and owns a wealth of experience in macroeconomic supervision and micro markets. He has participated in the compilation and translation of the book Payment and Settlement Systems, organized and translated the Central Counterparty Clearing, and edited the Payment System Innovation and Development, and published more than 10 professional papers. Mr. Xie is the PhD in economics and holds the qualification certificate of senior accountant.
