Dr. Jong Kyoo Yoon renewed his terms in office as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of KB Financial Group in November 2017 in appreciation of his remarkable achievements for three years since joining the Group as the Chairman & CEO of the Group and President & CEO of Kookmin Bank, the Group’s flagship subsidiary, in 2014. Dr. Yoon has successfully led the Group and Kookmin Bank from 2014 to 2017 with his extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of financial industry, complemented with outstanding capability. Prior to his return to the Group as the Chairman & CEO, Dr. Yoon served as Senior Advisor at Kim & Chang, Korea’s premier law firm, from 2013 to 2014. During his tenure as Deputy President & CFO of KB Financial Group from 2010 to 2013, Dr. Yoon spearheaded the Group’s Group financial planning & management and led profitability improvement. Dr. Yoon was a Senior Executive Vice President, CFO, CSO and head of Retail Banking group at Kookmin Bank from 2002 to 2004. Dr. Yoon received a B.A. in Business Administration from Sungkyunkwan University, an M.A. in Business Management from Seoul National University, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Sungkyunkwan University.
