Dr. LI Dongrong currently serves as President of the National Internet Finance Association of China (NIFA). Earned his PhD in economics from Central University of Finance and Economics in China, Dr. LI is a professor, research fellow and PhD supervisor in, and an Academic Committee member of, the Post-Doctorate Research Center of the Financial Research Institute under the People’s Bank of China. Prior to joining NIFA, he served as Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China, Deputy Administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, Chairman of the China Financial Standardization Technical Committee and member of the China National Narcotic Control Commission. With 30 years of practice, Dr. LI has a solid knowledge base and rich experience in foreign exchange management, AML, currency circulation, monetary policy and FinTech.
