Myron BRILLIANT

Executive Vice President and Head of International Affairs U.S. Chamber of Commerce

In 1985, Mr. Myron Brilliant received B.A. in government and politics from the University of Maryland and in 1988, he received J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law. From 1988 to 1994, he was the attorney with Stewart and Stewart in Washington, D.C. From 1994 to 2009, he served as Chamber’s vice president for Asia, and took a leadership role in the business community’s advocacy for congressional approval of permanent normal trade relations with China, as well as free trade agreements with Singapore and Australia. From 2004 to 2009, he also served as President of the U.S.-Korea Business Council. Between 2009 to 2013, Mr. Myron Brilliant assumed leadership of the Chamber’s International Affairs Division and greatly expanded the organization’s global footprint. He directed successful advocacy campaigns for congressional passage of trade agreements with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea, as well as legislation to establish a level playing field for U.S. companies in Russia. He also lead Chamber’s work on TPP and the U.S.-EU trade pact, and directs a robust program of work with China. In March 2013, he became the Executive Vice President and Head of International Affairs at the Chamber. He leads the largest international affairs team in Washington, representing the Chamber and its members before foreign governments, the U.S. government, and international business organizations. With Recognition of his many years of work on U.S.-China relations, Washingtonian magazine in January 2007 dubbed Brilliant a key player in its “Who’s Who Guide” of influential leaders on U.S.- China economic policy.
