Mr. Wenchi Chen founded VIA Technologies Inc. in 1987, and has been the company’s Chief Executive Officer since 1992 and Chairman since 2015. Under Mr. Chen’s visionary leadership, VIA has leveraged its deep silicon technology design expertise to transform itself into a global leader in the development of cutting-edge platform and system solutions for M2M, IoT, and Smart City applications, ranging from video walls and digital signage to healthcare and industrial automation. Mr. Chen was selected as a top entrepreneur by BusinessWeek in its “The Stars of Asia: 50 Leaders at the Forefront of Change”, and has been a member of the World Economic Forum for over ten years. A graduate of Taiwan University and California Institute of Technology, Mr. Chen also serves on the Board of Directors of HTC and TVB and shares his vast industry experience and knowledge by acting as an advisor to a growing number of hi-tech companies and startups in the US and Greater China region.
