CHEN Zhimin

Chen Zhimin, of Han nationality, was born in October 1955. He is a native of Zhuji, Zhejiang province and a member of the Communist Party of China. Mr. Chen received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from Hunan Normal University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively. From March 2005, he served as Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Public Security and member of the Party Committee. He was appointed Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Security and member of the Party Committee, and achieved the police rank of Deputy Commissioner-General in August 2009. Starting January 2013, he also served as Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China. He is now a member of the 13th CPPCC National Committee, Deputy Director of the Committee for Social and Legal Affairs of the 13th CPPCC, Chairman of the China Association for the Advancement of International Friendship, and Deputy Commissioner-General.
