Mr. Gao Jifan,has obtained his Bachelor’s degree (1981-1985) in Macromolecule Science from Nanjing University and his Master’s degree (1985-1988) in Quantum Chemistry from Jilin University, where he was mentored by the world famous Quantum Chemist Professor Aoqing Tang. Gao founded Trina Solar in 1997. The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange In 2006 and has become a global leading provider for PV module and smart energy solutiona. Gao is a member of the Standing Committee of CNDCA Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association ("CPIA") and the Co-Chairman of the Global Solar Council. He is also the Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, Vice Chaiman of the Chinese National Energy Internet Industry and Technology Innovation Alliance, and one of the founding members of UNDP Sustainable Development.
