Lin Dong, born in January 1974, native of Rui’an, Zhejiang Province, without party affiliation, MBA of LA TROBE University, Australia. Senior Engineer and Senior Economist, founded Hangzhou Greenfull Food Co., Ltd. in September 1993, is the chairman of Hangzhou Greenfull Group Co., Ltd. and the chief engineer and chairman of Hangzhou LHD New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Lin Dong is also an executive director of Western Returned Scholars Association, member of the standing committee of All-China Youth Federation, member of the standing committee of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, specially-invited expert of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial Political Consultative Conference. As the chief engineer who leads the returned overseas Chinese researcher team, Lin Dong has successfully developed the 3.4 MW LHD Lin Dong Modular Large-scale Tidal Generation Units system group which consists of fifteen major systems after eight years of hard work since 2009, which contains 54 international and Chinese patents in total, including 23 intention patents, for all of which, Lin Dong is the first inventor. On July 27, 2016, the first group of 1MW LHD tidal generation units was successfully launched in Zhoushan. It successfully integrated into the state grid on August 26, 2016. It started 24-hour ceaseless power generation on May 25, 2017. The National Ocean Technology Center organized an expert committee teamed by Academician Jin Xianglong from Chinese Academy of Engineering, et al on October 20, 2017 to evaluate the research result of the project. All experts present at the meeting commented that the LHD project results had reached internationally advanced level in general.It had been in operation and integrated in the state grid for more than 21 months as of the end of February 2019. Its stable operation time has broken a world record. It is the only MW-level tidal power generation unit that has realized around-the-clock operation in the world.
