LIN Guijun
Professor of Economics at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) Chairperson for the Degree-Conferring Committee in applied economics under the State Council of China Executive Director, UIVE Academy of Open Economy
Lin Guijun is a professor of Economics at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE). He holds bachelor degree in economics from UIBE, a MA degree in economics from Carleton University, Canada and a PhD degree from UIBE. He was a Senior Fulbright Research Scholar at the Department of Economics at Columbia University from 2001-2002. His research interests are in international trade policies and international monetary economics. He has high reputation in the fields of international trade. His current research interests include China’s trade policy models, global value chains, regional economic integration, industrial upgrading and US-China trade relations. Since 2009 he has been the chief editor for Boao Forum for Asia Annual Report Porgress of Asian Economic Integration. He is the chair of UIBE Academic Committee and the chief editor of a top Chinese trade journal International Trade Journal (guojimaoyiwenti). He is now leading two think-tank research institutes: UIBE Academy of China Open Economy Studies and Beijing Open Economy Research Institute. Dr. Lin Guijun also serves as a chairperson for the Degree-Conferring Committee in applied economics under the State Council of China, member of China’s Social Science Committee, deputy director of China Academy of International Trade and secretary general for the coalition of all China International Trade programs, a chief committee member of the Committee of the Professional Masters Program in International Business under the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Education and a member on advisory board of the Ministry of Commerce.
