Shao Fujun is the Chairman of China UnionPay. Prior to that, he worked at China’s central bank for three decades. During this time, he served for the Capital Management Department, Capital Planning Department, Monetary Policy Department and the General Office from 1988 to 2001. He later assumed the post of deputy director of the General Office and Director-general of the Credit Management Department. He was appointed Director-general of the General Office of PBOC in 2011. In 2018, he formally became the Chairman of China UnionPay. Shao Fujun holds the doctorate degree in economics.
