BFA annual conference 2018 press conference will be held in BFA Media Centre, Seagull Hall, at 15:30 today, authorities said.

The press conference will be chaired by Zhou Wenzhong, Secretary General of the BFA, about updating the latest information in terms of the line-up of state/government leaders, ministers, speakers, CEOs and economists. Meanwhile, three flagship reports of the BFA on Asian economic integration, emerging markets as represented by the E11, as well as the ranking of competitiveness of Asian economies will be briefed.

The year’s conference, themed around “An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity”, will last from April 8 to April 11. It will deliver the message that, despite the rise of anti-globalization sentiment and trade protectionism, the international community, especially Asian countries, needs to be more open and connected than ever before. Globalization and free trade are irreversible and unstoppable. Governments of all countries should actively participate in and promote cooperation, develop an open economy of higher standards, thus reaping the benefit from globalization.
