Wife of Mr. ZHOU Wenzhong, Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia

Ms. XIE was born in Tianjin on April.23,1945.In 1964, she was enrolled at the Beijing Broadcasting Institute (today’s Communication University of China) as a major in Swedish; from 1965 to 1967, she studied in Sweden; from 1968 to 1970, she worked in a military land reclamation project in Tangshan, Hebei Province; from 1970 to 1978, she was a translator on the Swedish team, China Pictorial, China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration (Associate Senior Translator); in 1979, she was seconded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work with ZHOU Wenzhong (Ambassador), Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia, at the Embassy of the PRC in the US until 1983; from 1987-1989, she worked with ZHOU Wenzhong (Ambassador), Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia, at the Consulate General of the PRC in San Francisco; from 1990, she joined ZHOU Wenzhong (Ambassador), Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia, to successively work at the Chinese Embassy in Barbados, Consulate General in Los Angeles, Embassy in Australia and Embassy in the US. Since 2010, she assists Mr. ZHOU Wenzhong , Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia in dealing with many diplomatic matters.
