Liu Tao is a Chinese actress who is the Vice President of the China Television Artists Committee Actors Committee, as well as the Promotion Ambassador of the Special Olympics, China. Liu Tao has played leading actress roles in various popular TV drama series, such as To Elderly With Love, Nirvana in Fire, The Legend of Miyue, Ode to Joy, and The Advisors Alliance, which all reflect a series of realistic problems and demonstrate the power of modern female role models. Liu Tao has been awarded the “Best Acting” award at the 10th China Golden Eagle TV Art Festival, the “Most Popular TV Actress” award at the 27th China Golden Eagle TV Ceremony, the “Best Supporting Actress” award at the 22nd Magnolia Awards. From 2015 to present Special Olympics honored Liu Tao with the Promotion Ambassador of Special Olympics, China. In July 2015, as the Promotion Ambassador, Liu Tao attended the Opening Ceremony of Special Olympics with Chinese delegation, and rooted for the Chinese athletes.  Since 2015, Liu Tao has continually dedicated much of her time to helping charitable causes. Such causes include mentoring female groups, giving funding for ambulances, helping child burn victims, donating necessities for handicapped girls, and donating costumes to charity. At the China Charity Awards Ceremony in 2017, Liu Tao was presented with the “Annual Celebrity Philanthropy” award. This was her second time being given with this honor, her first time being in 2016.
