Head Coach, Chinese National Short Track Speed Skating Team Chairwoman, Chinese Skating Association
Li Yan is the head coach of Chinese national short track speed skating team and also the chairwoman of Chinese Skating Association. She was born on September 18, 1966, in the city of Mudanjiang in Heilongjiang Province. After the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, she was appointed as the head coach of Chinese national short track speed skating team. In the latest three Winter Olympic Games, her team won 7 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze, 13 medals in total. She fostered several dominated short track speed skaters including Wang Meng, Zhou Yang and Wu Dajing.
