Executive Vice President & Head of International Affairs, U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Myron is executive vice president and head of International Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  Myron drives the global business strategy of the organization as head of the largest international affairs team of any U.S. business association in the United States - representing the Chamber and its member companies before foreign governments, and the U.S. government.  In his position, Myron has directed successful advocacy campaigns for congressional passage of PNTR for China, trade agreements with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea, as well as legislation to establish a level playing field for U.S. companies in Russia.  Myron also leads the Chamber’s ongoing work on NAFTA, KORUS, and the U.S.-EU trade pact, and directs a robust program of work with China, including the U.S.-China high level Track II dialogue comprised of senior executives and former government officials.  His responsibilities also extend to 15 Chamber-hosted business councils that work to enhance trade and investment ties to Brazil, Egypt, Japan, Korea, the UK, and Mexico, among other nations. Myron is frequently quoted in the media on issues relating to international business and trade policy, and is a regular guest on CNBC, CNN, and other news programs. Myron serves on the boards of the Atlantic Council, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, the U.S. Council for International Business, and the Center for International Private Enterprise.  He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and National Committee on United States-China Relations and serves as an economic development adviser to the governor of China’s Guangdong Province. Myron was previously an attorney with Stewart and Stewart in Washington, D.C. He received his J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law and his B.A. in government and politics from the University of Maryland.
