Qian is responsible for The Economist Group’s overall business in Greater China. She works with audiences, governments and MNCs, and brings China and the world closer, by bridging understanding and engagement among globally-curious minds and most influential audiences. Qian was previously Director of Global Economics Unit, and also served as the Chair Women for internal review with European Securities and Market Authority. Qian has a PhD in economics from Uppsala University, Sweden, and a visiting researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, and obtained executive leadership training from Stanford University. Qian is a guest lecturer at New York University, Tsinghua University, and regular commentator on media outlets such as BBC, CNBC, FT and NPR.
