Chairman, Liwayway Group of Companies and Philippines Presidential Special Envoy to China

Carlos Chan is a prominent Chinese-Filipino entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is designated by three presidents of the Republic of the Philippines as Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China since 2006. He is currently the Philippine Presidential Special Envoy to China, Executive Vice President of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association, Chairman of the Board of Philippine Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Chairman of Liwayway Group of Companies. He was awarded by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries the “China-Philippines Friendship Contribution Award”, “Chinese Philantrophy Award” from China Ministry of Civil Affairs, “Shanghai Magnolia Gold Award” and “Honorary Citizen of Shanghai City”, “Presidential Medal of  Merit” and  “Order of Sikatuna, Rank of Datu (Gold Distinction)” from Philippine President, PLDT SME Nation MVP Bossing Awards “Grand Bossing 2015”, Philippine House of Representatives “Successful Entrepreneur and Diplomat Award”. Carlos Chan established Oishi in different nations such as China, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Burma, Cambodia, India and South Africa.
