Dr. Qingfeng Liu, Founder, CEO and Board Chairman of iFLYTEK, Professor & Ph. D. Supervisor of USTC, Director of National Speech & Language Engineering Laboratory of China, Deputy to the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th National People's Congress, first President of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance of National College Students, and Chairman of China Speech Industry Association. In 1990, Qingfeng Liu was admitted to the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) as an undergraduate, where he acheived several key technology innovations in areas like Speech Synthesis. In 1999 when he was 26 years old and a second-year doctoral student, Qingfeng Liu founded iFLYTEK Co., Ltd together with a dozen schoolmates. In 2008, iFLYTEK was publicly offered in Shenzhen Stock Exchange, becoming the first listed company started by university students. For the last 18 years, Dr. liu is committed to the industry goal of making machine that can listen, speak, understand and think. iFLYTEK has made outstanding research and industrialization achievements in the areas of speech technology and artificial intelligence, for which iFLYTEK was picked by CCTV as one of “China’s Top 10 Listed Companies” in 2017. Personally, Dr. Liu was named one of the “China Economic Personages of the Year” in 2013, and won “Chinese Business Leaders Award” in 2015.
