Mr. Wen Tiejun, born in May 1951 in Beijing, PhD in management, is an expert entitled to the Special Allowance of the State Council. Mr. Wen served as deputy director of the Rural Policy Research Office, CCCPC, and the Rural Development Research Center, the State Council; director of the Rural Economic Research Center, the Ministry of Agriculture; deputy secretary general of China Society of Economic Reform; director and chief editor of the China Society of Economic Reform journal; dean and professor of the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, Renmin University of China. He was also appointed as chief expert for numerous national projects. Currently, Mr. Wen is the executive dean of the Institute of Rural Reconstruction of China, Southwest University and the Institute of New Rural Development, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University; independent director of the Agriculture Bank of China and New Hope Liuhe; member of the 6th and 7th Discipline Appraisal Group of the State Council Academic Degree Committee, the State Advisory Council on the Environment, the State Advisory Council on the Food Security Policy; expert and advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the State Forestry Administration, Beijing Municipal Government and Fujian Provincial Government; and vice president of Chinese Association of Agricultural Economics, etc.
