President, Club Med

Henri Giscard d’Estaing graduated from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and has a Master’s degree in economics. He began his career with Cofremca where he served as Associate Director between 1982 and 1987, specializing in researching changes in food consumption patterns and their marketing and strategic impacts. In 1987 he entered the Danone Group and was successively M&A Director, Chief Executive Officer of the British subsidiary, Chief Executive Officer of Evian-Badoit and M&A Director of the Mineral Water division. Henri Giscard d’Estaing joined Club Med in 1997, holding the positions of Finance Vice President, General Manager, and Chairman of the Executive Board before being appointed President in 2005. In January 2017, Henri Giscard d’Estaing has been named Global Partner of the Fosun Group. In June 2017, he has been named Deputy Chairman of Fosun Tourism Group. Henri Giscard d’Estaing is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Casino Group (french mass retailer) and Randstad Holding Supervisory Board (multinational human resource consulting firm).
