Venerable Master Yin Shun, PhD in Buddhist Studies, the Dharma successor of Venerable Master Ben Huan, one of the most influential and respectable elder monk in China. Master Yin Shun devotes himself to promote the international communication of Chinese Buddhism. He founded the South China Sea Buddhism Shenzhen Roundtable and the Religion sub-forum of Boao Forum for Asia, and participated as keynote speaker in these influential events. Moreover, he devotes himself to the construction of “the Humanistic Buddhism”, and attaches great importance to Buddhist education and transmission. After his efforts, Master Yin Shun signed cooperation agreements with Peking University and Chulalongkorn University, and established Benhuan Buddhism Academy and Nanhai Buddhism Academy. Besides, he contributes a lot in public charity, culture and education. He edited and wrote many Buddhist books, such as “Hongfa Series”, and was invited by many influential media such as Phoenix TV, to launch speeches to the public on the screen. Master Yin Shun has made a lot of contribution in the oversea Buddhist cultural exchange. He enjoys high reputation at home and abroad and has a lot of believers, especially in Southeast Asia. He was honorably awarded the title of “Prominent Chinese Monk” by the king of Thailand. He also has the following titles: The Supreme Consultant of Cambodian and Chinese Friendship Association; The Medal Honor Winner of Grand-Order-of-National-Merit of Cambodia.
