Tomson Dongsheng Li began his career as an engineer at TTK Home Electronic Appliances (predecessor of TCL Corporation) in 1982, and successively held the positions of General Manager of Telephone Communication Limited (TCL) and General Manager of TCL Electronics Group. In 1996, he became Chairman of TCL Corporation and in 2004 he also took the position of CEO. Under his leadership, TCL has grown into a large enterprise with business scope covering TVs, mobile phones, home appliances, small appliances and LCD panels. In 2014, 2015 and 2016, the annual sales revenue of TCL Corporation exceeds 100 billion RMB for 3 straight years. Today TCL is developing into a globalized manufacturer of smart products and provider of Internet applications and services. Mr. Li has been elected as a delegate to 16th CPC National Congress, and deputy to the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th National People’s Congress. He also holds a number of social positions: Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Vice Chairman of the China Chamber of International Commerce, Chairman of the China Video Industry Association, Chairman of Guangdong Provincial Enterprise Confederation and Guangdong Provincial Association of Entrepreneurs. Mr. Li has been granted honors including “CCTV China Economic Person of the Year”, “Best CEO among China’s Public Listed Companies" and “Asia’s Businessman of the Year” by Fortune.
