Professor Liu Shijin is currently the Vice Chairman of the China Development Research Foundation, as well as the member of the national committee of CPPCC. In 2004-2015, he was the Vice President (Vice Minister) of DRC. His research has been focused on economic transformation, industrial policies, SOE reform and green development. Over 200 of his papers and articles were published on major domestic and foreign journals. He is the executive leader of many influential programs and lead author in policy researching, such as “China 2030: Building a Modern, Harmonious, and Creative Society” and  “Urban China: Toward Efficient, Inclusive, and Sustainable Urbanization”. He has received a number of national academic awards, including the Sun Yefang Economic Science Award, CASS Outstanding Paper Award, and China Development Research Award. He has got involved in preparing the official documents for the Third/Fourth/Fifth Plenum of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
