Executive Vice Governor of Hainan Province

Mr. Mao Chaofeng was born in Zhecheng County of Henan Province in December 1965. He is currently Member of the Standing Committee of the C.P.C Hainan Provincial Committee, and Executive Vice Governor of Hainan Provincial People's Government. Mr. Mao graduated from the Department of Meteorology of Beijing Meteorology College in 1985, majoring in Meteorological Forecast. He later worked in Henan Provincial Office of the Civil Aviation Administration. He successively served as Director of the Division of Planning and Management, Deputy Chief and then Chief of the Office of the Civil Aviation Administration of Henan Province; Mayor of Jiaozuo City of Henan Province; Secretary of the C.P.C Zhoukou Committee of Henan Province; member of the Standing Committee and Secretary for Political and Legal Affairs of C.P.C Henan Provincial Committee (during which time he studied legal theories as an on-job postgraduate student in the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C from March 2000 to January 2003. He studied in the MBA Training Program for Senior Executives in Renmin University of China from May 2005 to June 2010 and got an MBA degree). In December 2012, Mr. Mao was reassigned to be Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary for Political and Legal Affairs of the C.P.C Hainan Provincial Committee. He assumed his current leadership positions since January 2015.
