Son Tran is the founder at Tiki.vn, an E-commerce startup in Vietnam. Tiki is one of the fastest growing retail companies in Vietnam with the vision of becoming the most trusted platform for customers and providers to buy and sell anything with ease of mind. Tiki, which stands for “to save and search”, started out as an e-commerce site for selling books that slowly evolved into a general e-commerce site. Currently, Tiki is the #1 B2C General Merchandise E-commerce and Online Book Retailer in the country. The founder, Son, is currently a Customer Experience Officer at Tiki.vn and has successfully secured a Series C funding on May, 2016. Son previously worked as a Marketing Director at Mekongcom (Vinabook.com). Son’s experience at the e-commerce company Vinabook served as a good experience in launching Tiki in 2010. Vinabook was focused on Vietnamese books while Son had the fvision of selling English books online in Vietnam. Son also has experience as a General Manager and Marketing Consultant at Vega Corporation and Technology Group respectively. He has worked as a web designer at Maingo Limited and web developer at Impaq Interactive. Son has a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering, IT from FPT Aptech and a bachelor of computer software engineering from Southern Cross University. Son also attained a Master’s in Commerce (Marketing) from UNSW in 2007.
