QIU Yong, President of Tsinghua University, Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was selected as a Distinguished Young Scholar by the National Science Fund in 2003, appointed as a Chang Jiang Scholar by the Ministry of Education in 2006, honored as a National Model Teacher by the Ministry of Education in 2007 and won the first prize of the State Technological Innovation Award in 2011. QIU Yong received both his BS and PhD in chemistry from Tsinghua University. His research focuses on organic optoelectronic materials and devices, including organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).
