Deputy Director-General of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS)

HU Bin, Ph.D. in law, is professor and Deputy Director-General of the Institute of Finance and Banking (IFB), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). He also has positions as Deputy Director-General of National Institution of Finance and Development, and Director-General of the Research Center for Financial Law and Regulation, CASS. He has hosted more than 40 research projects from various ministries, financial regulators and financial institutions, published over 80 papers on leading law and economics journals in China and been the editor-in-chief for the Annual Report on China’s Financial Supervision and Regulation for 9 years. He was awarded with the "Youth Innovation Award" by Central State Organs Work Committee in 2010. Professor Hu has gained a lot of outstanding awards from several organizations for his excellent policy research. He has been appointed the state’s young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contribution of the National Talent Project and held Special Government Allowance of the State Council from 2014. Professor Hu has extensive experience and professional knowledge in the fields of financial regulation, Fintech, and inclusive finance, etc.
