Song Jirong, member of the Central Committee of China Democratic League, deputy director of the Central Liaison Committee of CDL and deputy head of the Cultural Commission of Beijing Municipal Committee of CDL.

She is entitled to the Government Special Allowance and selected for the National Talent Program. She was appointed by the Ministry of Culture as deputy director of the Palace Museum in June, 2010.

So far, Song Jirong has accomplished more than ten scientific research projects for the National Natural Science Foundation, the Spark Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Backbone Teachers Funding Scheme of the Ministry of Education and the China Post-Doctoral Foundation, tutored more than 30 postgraduates and doctoral candidates and published 3 books.
