The highest religious title as Samdech Preah Aggamahasangharajadhipati,Mahasangharaja (The Great Suprame Patriarch) of the Kingdom of Cambodia

Ven.Tep Vong,religious name:Upekhasambojjhangiko,born in January 12,1932.he is one of the most greatest contemporary Buddhist leaders in Cambodia. In 1957,he was appointed a vice-chief incumbent of Reach Bo temple,Siem-Reap  province.In 1979,after getting re-ordained,he was appointed the Chief of Cambodian Sangha and the preceptor for the whole country. In 1991,Most Venerable Tep Vong was conferred the title Preah Mahasumedhadhipati,and the Sangha Nayaka of the State of Cambodia by Chea Sim,the President of the State Council of Cambodia. In November 15, 1991,Preaj Mahasumedhadhipati Tep Vong was named the Supreme Patriarch of Mahanikaya Buddhist Order of Cambodia by a Royal Decree of Prince Nordom Sihanouk,Head of State and President of the Supreme National Council(SNC). In April 29,2006,he was comferred the highest religious title as Samdech Preah Aggamahasangharajadhipati,Mahasangharaja (The Great Suprame Patriarch) of the Kingdom of Cambodia. His education:Khmer literature and arithmetic,ancient Khmer carpentry, successfully completion of three levels of Dhammavinaya, expert in reciting Vinaya Patimokha (Disciplinary rules of Bhikkhu), expert at teaching Vipassana meditation and Pali grammar.
