Tian Wei is a former US correspondent and anchor of "World Insight with Tian Wei" on CGTN, the network’s well-respected international debate and global player interview program. Starting from a radio producer to becoming a reporter, a news presenter, a ta lk show host, a Washington DC correspondent covering the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and eventually the h ost of one of China’s most influential commentary and interview program, Tian aspires to be the link bet ween China and the world as a responsible messenger and a critical thinker in a drastically changing world. Over the years, Tian has secured exclusive interviews with the world’s leading players, movers and shakers such as: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as well as presidents and prime ministers from five continents of the world. She has met with tech guru s such as Bill Gates and Sheryl Sandberg, Nobel laureates, Oscar Award winners, Olympian champions, influential thought leaders, outstanding artists and exemplary women leaders from all over the world. She has also been hosting and moderating the network’s special programs from all over the world and different parts of China including the top Chinese leader’s state visit to the United States, the UN General Assembly, the APEC Summit, the G20 Summit, the Climate Change Conference, the Beijing Olympics, the Sichuan earthquake and many others.
