Mr. WANG Hong was born on May 1963 in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. He majored in environmental science during his undergraduate education in University of Ocean from 1981 to 1985 and received his doctor degree later.

Work Experience

1985 - 2001   National Marine Data and Information Service (NMDIS), SOA. He started his career in NMDIS as an assistant Engineer and left as its Director-General.

2001 -  now   State Oceanic Administration

He started his career in SOA as the Director-General of the General Office, and then served as the Director-General of the Department of Personnel, Deputy Administrator before he was appointed as the Administrator of SOA, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Land and Resource, and political Commissar of China Coast Guard on January 2015.
