CEO, Sogou

Wang Xiaochuan, formerly SVP and CTO of Sohu.com, is currently CEO of Sogou,has invented Sogou Keyboard and Sogou Search. At present, Sogou Keyboard has become the national input method and Sogou Search the second largest search engine in China. In 1994, Wang completed all proof of elementary geometry proposition using microcomputer with Wu’s elimination method  for the first time. In 1996, Wang took the gold medal in the Eighth International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), later becoming a coach of China’s national team. Wang had taken the Emerging Entrepreneur laurel of Ernst & Young China Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014. In 2015, Wang won the first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award for his research: Group-Intelligence Supported Internet Technology and Application. Wang was honored as one of the Top 100 Leading Talents of Technology Beijing, Top 10 Science and Technology Figure Promoting the Creation of Beijing, and Beijing Model Worker. In 2016, on behalf of Sogou, Wang donated 180 million Yuan to Tsinghua University to set up Tian Gong Institute, making concerted efforts to promote the research on advanced technology of artificial intelligence. Wang received a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s degree in Computer Science and an EMBA from Tsinghua University in Beijing.
