President of SAIC-GM

Mr. Wang Yongqing was born on Dec. 18th, 1965 in Hubei Province.

He graduated from Shanghai Tongji University in the major of Electrical Engineering and obtained the bachelor degree in Jul. 1988; incepted the master degree of Scientific German specialized in Electric Engineering in Shanghai Tongji University in May. 1990; received the Lean Production Training in Germany in Sep, 1996 and the Program Management Training in US & Mexico in Dec. 1998; took his master degree of CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) in 2005.

He joined in SAIC-GM in 1997 and was responsible for program management and then for engine program of Business Planning & Development Department. He was the deputy director of Jinqiao South Plant Program from May, 2003 and Jinqiao South Plant Director from Jun. 2005. He took office as the General Manager of SAIC-GM Dongyue Automotive Company Limited from Oct. 30th, 2006, then he covered as the General Manager of SAIC-GM Dongyue Powertrain Company Limited from May. 29th, 2007 concurrently. From Aug. 1st, 2009, he is appointed as the Vice President of SAIC-GM to mainly in charge of the manufacturing, quality, production control and logistics works. He acted as SAIC-GM President from Jul. 3rd, 2014.
