Bai Yansong, a famous representative figure of China’s TV Presenter, also the first commentator in CCTV, participated in establishing the famous brand TV programs such as Oriental Horizon, one of the most popular CCTV programs; News Probe, a program focusing on news comments; Shikonglianxian, another TV comment program; China Week, a comprehensive news show; People in The News, a news talk show and News 1+1, a famous live show on current news. Bai Yansong gained many awards including Golden Microphone Award in China’s Broadcast field, Changjiang News Award, the top award in the Press of China. Besides, he won the Best Host of China Golden Eagle Award and National TV Worker of “Excellence in both professional skills and moral integrity”. He also won many rewards and titles such as the First Prize of TV Interview of China News Award, and the “Most Popular TV Presenter among the University Students”. He was elected member of the 12th national committee of CPPCC in 2013. In his daily life, Bai devoted himself in the social activities for public good, actively promoting and advocating the work of volunteer, health promotion, AIDS prevention etc, and was the first Image Ambassador of UN’s Disaster Reduction Action in Mainland of China.
